A Classic Rock Love Story
Boynton Beach couple remarries, 50 years after their first marriage ended in divorce.
They fell in love at The Fillmore East, the legendary short-lived New York City rock venue where they worked as visual artists putting on light shows during performances by The Grateful Dead, Jethro Tull and Ten Years After, among other bands.
Bill Graham, the iconic Fillmore founder, wanted to marry them on stage at The Fillmore, right before a concert by The Byrds. But the bride’s mother wouldn’t have it.
The young hippie couple got married at a synagogue in 1970. Less than three years later, the marriage fell apart and the bride left.
But the jilted groom, stung by the divorce, never stopped loving her. He never gave up hope.
For 50 years, he carried her torch.
On Feb. 3, 2024, they remarried.
Their love story — so enduring, so sappy, so torn from the pages of a Hallmark movie script, and so rock ‘no roll — can be read by clicking this link.
