The mystery of the disappearing mural muses
Two popular paintings under the Royal Park Bridge in West Palm Beach are being erased. But there is reason for art lovers to rejoice.

Now you see them. Now you don’t.
Sean Yoro is an internationally-acclaimed artist known as Hula. His hyper-realistic paintings of women can be found on public spots all over the world, from buildings and bridges to ice bergs and partially-submerged shipwrecks.
He painted two murals under the Royal Park Bridge in downtown West Palm Beach during the 2015 and 2016 CANVAS Outdoor Museum art shows. They quickly turned into popular tourist destinations, for years favorite selfie stops for visitors, joggers, cyclists and boaters passing by the bridge.
FADE TO BEIGE: Two weeks ago, one was erased by state contractors, covered in a plan coat of beige.
The other mural will be painted over, too, in the coming days of weeks.
What in the name of Michelangelo is going on?
Art lovers initially were outraged. But they quickly rejoiced once they learned that the popular murals will return to their waterfront spots late next year at the earliest.
